Textile Structure

A textile structure refers to the way fibres, yarns, or filaments are organised and constructed to form a fabric or material. It determines the physical form, performance characteristics, and behaviour of the textile, such as stretch, drape, strength, breathability, and texture.

Textile structures can be 2D (flat) or 3D (volumetric) and range from traditional constructions like woven, knitted, and nonwoven fabrics to more advanced or engineered forms such as spacer fabrics, braided structures, or bioinspired composites.

Textured (Textile Structure)

The surface quality and tactile feel of a textile. Texture can be visual, tactile, or functional, and often serves multiple purposes, such as camouflage, grip, moisture control, or signalling—just as it does in nature.
